Stiffness and lack of mobility in the upper back is a common issue that many of us struggle with, sometimes as a result of long periods of working on a computer, or in combination with muscle tension around the shoulders. This can affect the movement in the neck, lower back and shoulders and contribute to problems in these areas.
This is a handy exercise that I give to many of my clients. It uses a foam roller (easily available online from many stores).
